June Highlights

This is my last month home with the girls.  I actually go back to work on June 20th.  It feels like I just got the hang of having two girls and we are finally on a pretty good schedule and now I have to go back.  I leave them in the best of care though.  Mike's Mom will be with the girls on Monday and Tuesdays and who is better than Grandma.  We are so fortunate to have her because she loves these girls so much and is so good with them and they adore her!  Wednesday through Friday they will be at their daycare with Pam.  Pam is so wonderful and loves the girls so much so if I can't be with them then I am greatful to have her to care for them. 
We have had another fun filled month.  Lily and I took a couple days to spend together and we went to the Wild Animal Park and did Legoland with Declan and Aunt Lindsay and also spent some quiet days at home. We also have a new baby in the family - Quinn Emery Goad was born Tuesday June 14th at 5:24 p.m. weighing 8.1 lbs and 21.5 inches.  Welcome to the world beautiful Quinn!

Here is what a typical morning looks like at our house.  Ella has just started eating cereal, veggies and fruit and is very much enjoying it!

A little love from big sister

Lily has just recently started putting all of her animals in her bed to play with them.  I don't let her do this when she goes to sleep but the other day she must have been really tired because she fell asleep around 10 a.m. playing with "My Guys" as she likes to call them.

Legoland has become one of Lily's favorite places recently.  We went about 4 times so far this month.  Here she is with Declan on the train.

After Legoland the other day we went to the Aquarium.  Lily loved looking at all the fish!

May Highlights!

This month we celebrated Mothers Day and we went to the Wild Animal Park.  We had our first beach day of the season with Aunt Lindsay, Declan and Lexi.  We celebrated Zachary's first communion and Lily and I had a day at Legoland while Grandma watched Ella for me.  We also went and stayed with Nonno and Grandma for a couple days since Mike is still working out of town.  We had a great month and here are some pictures of our fun days!

Lily got her face painted for the first time.  She did so good and sat still while the lady painted this beautiful butterfly on her face.

Here is a picture of Emma and Lily dressed alike.  I had bought this dress for Emma for her birthday and loved it so much I had to go back and get one for Lily too.  Don't they look like they could be sisters.

Getting a good picture of the girls is no easy task for me.  I know they aren't looking at the camera but I still think it's sweet.

Lily got her first pedicure this month.  No this is not something I will be allowing her to do often but I think she just needed some one on one time with me.  Here are her cute toes!

Lily loves to play on our living room sofa and Ella loves to watch her.  This of course is the type of sofa you buy before children and you say things like I will never let my child jump or play in the living room.  Oh the many things we say we will never do.

Part two of April Highlights!

This month we were able to go on some adventures with G-Mom, Emma and Zachary during their Easter vacation.  We had so much fun at the Botanical Gardens and the San Diego Zoo!

We have also been enjoying Backyard BBQ's and Pizza nights with Aunt Lindsay, Uncle Adam, Declan and baby Lexi!  Like I have said before I am not a photographer but had to add a photo of Declan and Lily.  They are the best of buddies and have so much fun together!

April Highlights!

This was a busy month for us with lots of birthdays and the arrival of our beautiful niece Alexandra Elizabeth Herkert ( Lexi ) who now shares her birthday with Mike.  We also celebrated Easter at Aunt Amanda's house.  She went overboard as usual with all the goodies for the kids and they loved every minute of it!  Here are some of my favorite memories from this month!
