Starting Over...Part six.

October 2012 - Part One!
There is always lots to do in October for the Abbott's.  It is harvest time. We head to New Mexico to pick grapes with Nonno and Grandma and since we are there we drink some wine too.
On the road again!  My girls are road warriors.  We drove from Oceanside to Gallup New Mexico in one day.  14 hours of driving.  Thank goodness for a DVD player in the car

When we got to the ranch Nonno and Grandma had a big surprise for the girls.  They bought them a John Deere Tractor to drive around.  Spoiled?  No just well loved!!

Here are the girls loving their new ride

Hanging out on the porch

Finding the Shark rock that Nonno put at the end of the wall

Lots to get into in Nonno's garage!

Here is what we came for
The Grapes!

Trying so hard to reach those grapes

So this is a ranch house built before there were grandchildren so we just put a tub in shower and we have an instant bath tub.  The girls love it.

Morning coffee with Nonno.  Cheers!

The Grape Stomp!  Every Year the Black Mesa Winery has a Pick and Stomp so lots of wine club members come to the Abbott Vineyard to pick grapes and then we head up to the winery to stomp grapes and taste some wine.  This year they had a bagpiper pictured below - which was super cool except that Ella was trying to nap so she didn't care for him to much.

This was Lily's first year stomping and as you can see she loved it!

After the bagpiper woke her up we took her in to stomp too.  She preferred being held.

While we were at the ranch this year we celebrated Nonno's 70th birthday!  Here are some pics from his birthday dinner at El Paragua!

Lily adores her Nonno!

It was so much fun.  Ral's brother Lou and his wife Tina ( not pictured) joined us along with their granddaughter Summer who is about 5 months older than Lily

Some sisterly love

One of the highlights for the girls was roasting marshmallow's

We went for a drive one day up to a local ski resort called Sipapu.  Of course no snow now but it is a beautiful place.

Driving with Nonno!
